Aubrey O’Day: Too Much?
13 Dec
How much is too much?
I have a love hate relationship with Aubrey O’Day. She has all the credentials of an attractive girl and so much potential but somehow she always ruins it.
There are a lot of things wrong with this look for me, so I’ll start from the top and work my way down.
The Hair
Miss O’Days gorgeous golden locks go with her caramel skin perfectly. I believe it used to be lighter; this darker look compliments her face and coloring and gives her a softer look. Kudos to her colorist. Based on what I can see here she has gone for a shabby chic half up half down do which is reasonable enough considering everything else about her look is loud.
Make Up
There is an unspoken rule that if you’re going to do smokey eyes, you do soft lips and if you are going to do red lips you do soft eyes. Aubrey’s makeup artist apparently missed out on this unspoken golden rule and has made a mess of Aubrey’s face. There is way too much going on. Pick one or the other and your safe! I will give her makeup artist credit for her glowing cheeks and incredible contouring of the nose. However her forehead appears to be way darker than the rest of her face and the fake eyelashes with those contacts with that red lipstick just screams all the wrong things. Sorry Aubrey, I think you need a new makeup artist.
Outfit
Hmmm. Smokey eyes, red lips, orange forehead. Now we have a red dress and the twins have come out to play at this event. The co lour of the dress is absolutely gorgeous on her skin tone and that’s about all the good feedback I have to give about this number. The shape of the dress makes Aubrey appear much larger than she is and her breasts don’t have enough support and look quite droopy. The length of Aubrey’s frock is an absolute disaster for her legs with her gladiator heels. The cut off at her ankle very much stunts the appearance of her legs and makes her appear stocky.
All in all, this was a complete blunder. If she had opted for a slim belt to define her gorgeous curves, and simple peep toe nude heels to elongate her legs, the outfit would not have been so bad. As for the makeup, less foundation and eliminating one of her dramatic looks would have turned Aubrey the disaster into Aubrey the Grecian goddess. It’s a shame, there’s a lot of good material here for glamor here but Aubrey just never seems to get it right.
The moral of this story is, less is MORE!
